Lumax Energy · Solar Carports
Ergo+ is the full-steel cantilever Carport Lumax normally recommends for new projects where vehicle movement, structural efficiency and a clean parking environment are important.
Lumax Energy · Solar Carports
Its truss-based column and rafter arrangement reduces support interference within the parking area compared with a four-post structure. This makes Ergo+ a strong starting point for commercial parking, retail facilities, fleet environments and other sites where access and manoeuvring must remain practical.

Why Ergo+
Full-steel cantilever route Lumax normally recommends for new projects.
Reduced column interference compared with four-post Carports.
Truss-based column and rafter arrangement.
Single-access, reverse-tilt, double-access and East-West configurations.
Standard 7 degree inclination across the confirmed configurations.
Target span of approximately 7.5 m, subject to project engineering.
Site fit
Ergo+ can be configured for single-access, reverse-tilt single-access, double-access and East-West parking. Its standard inclination is 7 degrees, including the East-West arrangement. Final module layout, support positions and structural dimensions are confirmed for the selected module and parking plan.
The platform is positioned for corrosion applications up to C4. Wind design is selected for the applicable project conditions, including standard SANS wind regions of 36 m/s and 44 m/s. Target span, height and configuration remain subject to the structural design.
Corrosion suitability remains subject to the project environment, selected material and protection specification; the stated category is not a blanket product certification.
CP-02 · Ergo+ parking configurations
How parking is served and which way the module plane faces. Support structure is product-specific and not drawn.
Ergo+ supports single-access, reverse-tilt single-access, double-access and East-West configurations, each at a standard inclination of 7 degrees. Module orientation is confirmed during project assessment.

Standard inclination7°
Parking covered on both sides.
Standard inclination7°
Modules face east and west.

Final module orientation, geometry and support positions remain subject to the selected module, parking layout and project engineering. The drawings illustrate access and module-plane relationships, not a final structural design.
Share the parking layout and PV module datasheet if available. A final parking design is not required to begin.
Ergo+ or Ergo Max
Both products are current full-steel cantilever systems with a 7 degree inclination. Ergo Max is the established design, while Ergo+ is the newer platform Lumax would normally recommend for new projects. The final decision can reflect site geometry, structural suitability, commercial factors and architectural preference.

Engineering
Lumax develops the final Ergo+ structure from the parking layout, PV module, wind conditions, corrosion exposure, vehicle-clearance requirement, foundations and site assembly strategy.
A standard platform therefore receives project-specific member sizing, support positions, connections and drawings.
Where Lumax provides professional engineering sign-off, the structure and foundations are designed specifically for the site.
Installation supervision and support can be included according to the agreed scope.
CP-05 · Foundations
Flush, pillar or plinth, and strip foundations are examples rather than universal details.
Footing below the surface; base at paving level.
A raised concrete pillar at the column base.
A continuous footing along the column line.
Where the Carport is installed in an existing paved parking area, the surface will normally need to be opened for the foundations and reinstated afterwards. Responsibility for civil works and reinstatement is confirmed in the project agreement.
Questions
Yes. Ergo+ is normally recommended for new full-steel cantilever projects, subject to the site and engineering requirements.
Ergo+ supports single access, reverse tilt, double access and East-West, with a standard 7 degree inclination.
Ergo+ is positioned for applications up to C4, subject to the final project material and protection specification.
No. Approximately 7.5 m is the target span. Final span depends on loading, geometry, module and project engineering.
Both are current full-steel cantilever Carports with a 7 degree inclination. Ergo+ is the newer platform Lumax normally recommends for new projects and also offers East-West; Ergo Max offers single access, reverse tilt and double access.
No. Ergo+ is a full-steel cantilever. Where an aluminium cantilever is required, aluminium H-Max and Alu-Max I-Beam can be compared.
Wind design is selected for the applicable project conditions, including standard SANS wind regions of 36 m/s and 44 m/s.
